Volunteers

Volunteers are an essential part of our hospice team. Just a few hours of your time each month can provide extraordinary compassion and support.

Volunteering To Help

Hospice touches many lives, including patients’ loved ones. Sometimes those caregivers and family members are moved to become hospice volunteers.

Trained volunteers play a crucial role in our team approach to patient care. Some help families by running errands, preparing light meals or sitting with patients so that caregivers get a much-needed break. Some can offer specific professional or clerical skills, while others bring only a desire to serve.

Hospice of North Alabama welcomes volunteers of all ages, faiths and backgrounds. The need is urgent, and the emotional and spiritual rewards can be profound. If you’d like to discuss our volunteer opportunities, please call our Volunteer Coordinator at either our Huntsville or Florence locations. You may also complete the online application below and a Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch.
